Open Source Pharma Foundation is calling for applications to the upcoming post of NGO Fundraising Associate in Bangalore, India.
The Open Source Pharma Foundation is a global non-profit organization with offices in Bangalore and Paris. We seek to discover new drugs in a new way in order to develop affordable new therapies in areas of great health need. We leverage the power of exponential advances in computing and collaborative technologies, alternative approaches to intellectual property, and the vast reach of the generics industry by using open source principles.
We search an enthusiastic individual to commit to OSPF and its mission of addressing the critical health needs through open source to cross borders and organisational walls. The applicant should be driven and excited to enter the Open Source Pharma movement and world of supporting the most urgent health needs for the world’s most vulnerable in such a way that revolutionises the Pharma industry.
You will be working alongside a dynamic team to connect our network with impressive projects that will create a better future and raise funds for its success.

Education and Experience:
We expect the applicant to have experience and successful history in raising funds for NGOs and/or organisations and charities of the like. Holding an MBA in related field is an asset, but more important is experience in fundraising, partnerships and financial strategies as to successfully influence and inspire networks to support open collaborations in connection to OSPF. The capacity for insightful strategy is required as well as the inclination for team work and cooperation. Open Source Pharma Foundation largely works alongside its extended global network to constantly exploit resources for common mission of bringing medicine to all in the most effective and affordable way. Strong respect and alignment with values and proactive work ethic desired.

Specific Duties:
- Raise funds for a variety of projects
- Leverage partners of different networks for support and financing. Sources may be prominent individuals and celebrities as well as organisational entities and applicant must be able to communicate with the broad range of stakeholders/network players.
- Manage relationships with donors and partners that include philanthropies and corporate social responsibility fund managers.
- Reach out and engage with current global partnerships
- Pursue discussions with initial partners and close collaborators in the Pharmaceutical field in India and translate these into concrete collaboration agreements
- Work alongside team members to set financial targets and meet them
- Structure current partnerships for ongoing collaborations
Skills:
- Ability to raise funds in the NGO, open source, philanthropies and charities, corporate social responsibility funds, and/or the pharma sector
- Resilience in meeting financial targets
- Advanced ability to build and maintain relationships
- Creativity, imagination and the entrepreneurial grit necessary to achieve mandates
- Determination and hardworking character to bring projects to fruition
- Strong resolve while working under high pressure
- Excellent communication skills to inspire and influence
- Independence in project management and organisation of tasks
